Little Caesars® Love Kitchen® Donated and Served Free Pizza To Feed Those In Need At Martha’s Village and Kitchen Little Caesars donated pizzas to feed 400 people Martha’s Village and Kitchen on Friday, July 8, 2016. For the second year in a row, Little Caesars warmed the hearts of the homeless in the desert when its 53-foot-long semi-truck, known as the Love Kitchen, rolled onto Martha’s Village and Kitchen’s campus to provide fresh Little Caesars pizza meals for 400 people in need early in July.  The Little Caesars Love Kitchen is a pizza kitchen on wheels that travels across the continental United States and Canada meeting the needs of the hungry, the homeless, and disaster survivors. The company’s crew made the pizzas in the Martha’s Village and Kitchen’s parking lot inside of the mobile cooking site equipped with ovens and a walk in cooler. Martha’s Village and Kitchen’s staff and volunteers prepared and served salad and desserts to supplement the meal. “We’re loving this lunch that was given to us by Little Caesars and Martha’s Village and Kitchen.  It’s delicious and it’s nice to know that people care,” said Jesus, a public lunch client who did not want to provide his last name.  Roberta, another client added, “We are so grateful.” The Love Kitchen has been around the country since it was established in 1985 and has fed over 3 million people in 48 states.  It’s followed tragedies such as the World Trade Center attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, and Hurricane Katrina a few years later, feeding survivors and first responders.  The truck travels wherever hungry mouths can be found day in and day out. “We appreciate that they are spreading love by providing delicious pizzas to people who really need a meal,” said Stephanie Minor, the Director of Development for Martha’s Village and Kitchen.  “It was so nice to see how excited and happy everyone was today,” she said. Local Little Caesars franchise owners and company regional offices donate all food and labor costs for the Love Kitchen servings. An estimated 50,000 Little Caesars franchise owners and employees have volunteered their time over the years to support the program in cities like Indio.  Johanna Nolasco, who has worked with Little Caesar’s for over ten years, said, “It feels good to give back to the community and those in need.  I would do it again.  Emmanuel Sanchez, who has also been with the company for over 10 years, said, “Food touches people’s lives.  It makes it exciting to be part of the Love Kitchen.” About Little Caesars Pizza  Headquartered in Detroit, Michigan, Little Caesars® is the largest carryout-only pizza chain and fastest growing pizza chain in America*.
